Beer festival at the Mar Menor Golf Resort
Do you fancy a beer after work? From Monday the 23rd to
Friday 27th October come and try the unique flavours of
a wide range of national and international beers. If you
are a “liquid gold” lover, make the most of this
opportunity to take a midweek break from the routine and
savour some of the fifteen brands of beer you’ll find in
Pino’s Bar, in the Mar Menor Golf Resort Social Club.

New timetable for the Mar Menor Golf Resort
Medical Centre
The Mar Menor Golf Resort Medical Centre has a new
timetable as from today to adapt further to meet your
needs.
We are open from 10:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, and
10:00 to 13:00 Saturdays for medical attention,
infirmary and physiotherapy.
The Reto Polaris challenge, awarded for the best
European event
Polaris World awarded the 2006 European prize for
the best communications event for its “Reto Polaris"
challenge.
The Italian magazine e20, which awards the annual
European communications prizes, has awarded the Best
European Communications Event 2006 to Polaris World for
its “Reto Polaris” challenge. Reto Polaris was swimmer
David Meca’s extraordinary achievement of swimming
between Javea (Alicante) and Sant Antoni de Portmany
(Ibiza) in only 26 hours.
The international panel of 21 judges evaluated 161
candidates from different countries and recognised the
“high level of prestige and the repercussion” in the
media thanks to the sponsoring and organisation of this
event.
At the beginning of January, the event was not only
followed in Spain, but in more than 140 other countries,
a record in media coverage. The Polaris World brand
appeared on the Internet, in the local, national and
international media, on radio, television and in the
press, creating the most extensive advertising coverage
and unprecedented visual and media impact in the history
of the company. By means of this event, Polaris World
has been able to transmit some of the inherent values
and philosophy of the company: to strive for your goals

The presentation of the award will take place in Milan
on the 20th November.

Polaris World at the XIX National Bonsai
Polaris Garden was at the nineteenth National Bonsai
Congress held at the Puertas de Castilla cultural centre
in Murcia.
In the XIX National Bonsai Congress, Polaris Garden is
sponsoring 5 awards for best size and display. Over
three days, the best bonsai artists on a national and
European level will be in Murcia, some of them locals
from the Murcia Region., The prime examples will be on
show at the celebration dinner held in the El Olivo
restaurant on Saturday 7th.
The event centres on the exhibition of some of the best
Spanish bonsais, a few of which have been awarded prizes
abroad, as well as several informative sessions which
allow visitors an insight into the secret that is the
modelling technique and care of bonsai.
Polaris Garden will have a stand at the national show
providing information on its different lines of
business, such as the sale of ornamental plants, the
maintenance of golf courses or the gardening service for
residents. The centrepiece of Polaris stand will be the
Garden Centre model representing, with over 8,000 m2 of
exhibition area, the largest centre in Spain
specialising in gardening, décor and outdoor furniture.
Polaris World Foundation finances three water wells
in Kandi
Three towns in Kandi (Africa) will now benefit from
the availability of water for personal hygiene and for
farming. On their own initiative, the inhabitants of the
area painted the Polaris World Foundation logo on the
first well to be built.
Polaris World Foundation projects are becoming a
reality. In December 2005 an initiative for the
construction of three wells for the Kandi population,
put forward by the Salesian “Don Bosco” Community of
Benín, was approved. The Foundations management decided
to give the project the go ahead and to finance it.
Among some of the other objectives of the project were
the promotion of women’s rights and the development of
programmes dealing with childcare, healthy eating,
illness prevention, water and sewing. One of the main
aims of the project is to promote the development of
literacy by means of campaigns in which the people help
themselves by forming chains of development.
